IBM advocates for collaborative advancement in business artificial intelligence

At the technology summit, International Business Machines' David Cox delivered a persuasive rationale for transparent advancement in corporate artificial intelligence. The executive, Vice President of machine learning frameworks and leader at the collaborative research center, underscored the importance of openness in technological advancement, particularly in the current artificial intelligence ecosystem.
David emphasized the complex character of transparency in artificial intelligence, questioning the simplistic perception of the idea. He noted the growing ecosystem of open models from various sources, including tech giants, universities, and governments.
Nonetheless, he voiced worries about the quality of openness in various AI language systems, observing that certain models provide little more than a "bag of numbers" devoid of clarity in their development processes.
